From organic clothing lines to celebified hybrid cars, going green has become seriously trendy lately, and this is one trend we’re hoping becomes a classic. On Feb. 2, 2007, a United Nations scientific panel offered some tough love about how we’re treating the earth. For one thing, experts now agree that global warming is no myth-it’s for real, and sadly, it’s kinda our fault. According to the New York Times, environmental experts from around the world agree that “human activity has very likely been the driving force in [climate changes] over the last 50 years.” So what does that mean? Well, for starters “hundreds of millions of extra people [will be] at greater risk of food and water shortages…the survival of thousands of species of plants and animals [are at risk]… floods, heatwaves, storms and droughts are all expected to increase, with people in poorer countries suffering the worst effects,” reports UK paper The Guardian.
